Friday at last!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, we made it to Friday!!!!! And I soooooooooooo want hot chips right about now...... or maybe chocolate!!!! I guess the thing is that I think I actually have the ability to have both of them right now............. I mean we actually have all we need for me to have hot chips and chocolate right now!!! But I am going to be a good girl! Tomorrow night we are going to a birthday party in Wallaroo for our beautiful friend Mika and it's a meal out.............. looking forward to it. Determined not to be too silly, but still want to be able to eat something nice!!!

So far I have lost a grand total of............................ 4.1 kilos!!!!! YAY for me!!!!

Well, I'm to bed........... or maybe to watch Glee........... I need a distraction!!!

Day 3......... wooooops I forgot to blog yesterday

Hi all,

So, it's day three and still going pretty well. My first weigh in............. well after the official one, was a record weight loss of.......................

3.2 kilos...................YAY

and then today I have lost another 0.7 of a kilo................ so in total that means that I have lost 3.9 kilos so far!!!!

Awesome! It is encouraging to know that it is worth it!!! And so we keep on going!!!! I don't think I have ever lasted 3 whole days being so good on a diet!!!! Hehehehehehe Oh well, we are determined................. so far, so good!

My garlic chicken pockets the other night were soooooooooooo scrummy! It has been good to experiment with some recipes, being creative in how we are cooking things. Colin is happy with just the meat cooked normal, me too, but I do like to experiment with a few different things.

We also had a go at some pancakes. The trick is what to use instead of using flour.

The first lot was a bran pancake, since we have to eat 1 and a half tablespoons of bran a day...... and they didnt flip too well and so we ended up with a smush of pancake that rather resembled scrambled eggs.......... but with absolutely no taste, but much tastier with some strawberry yoghurt on top!!!!! I tried to make some other ones today which consisted of eggs and skim milk powder, a teaspoon of baking soda and water. They turned out quite well and kinda tasty! Would have been much better with some strawberry jam, but anyhow, they were good all the same. We had cooked up turkey mince with some garlic and onions and then put them on top of the pancake with some greek yoghurt. It was pretty tasty I must say!!!

Oh well, back to the day off!!!!! It's almost tea time and I haven't got the faintest idea what we will actually have........... but I think we have some fish in the fridge!

Day 1...............so far so good!

Well, we made it to 5:47pm on day one without fading away........... I going to go and make some garlic chicken pockets for tea in just a minute! Apart from the amount of water I have drunk today and subsequently the amount of times I have had to go you know where, the day has been a good one. I would say that the hardest thing that I have had to do today was to make myself eat breakfast........... actually we went to work without it and I sent Colin home to get some.

So................ as for the starting weight from my weigh in last night, it was

107kg!!!!!!!!!!

OMGoodness!!! That is the heaviest that I have ever weighed, but I knew that it would be bad!

Oh well, that is why I am on this journey!

The beginning of the journey............

Well, we've tried this before............ to lose weight, but I am soooo determined that this is going to work!!!! I am sincerely hoping that after losing weight it will not find me again..... but with the help of God and some great people I believe that it will be a great journey!!!!

Colin and I are doing this together..... and I know that Maggie will enjoy the at least 20 minutes of walking each day........ so we could say that it is a family venture!!

So goodbye to the old me and hello to the new and improved version.........
in more ways than one!

We are going to weigh in tonight and then start the diet from tomorrow morning.

I am using this blog to keep myself a little bit accountable and will record weight loss as well as an eating diary and sharing of recipes etc. It is very easy just to start and then give in.... how many times have we done that?????? How many times have we said "tomorrow's a new day" or "this is the last time we'll have take-away for a while"........ so I really want to make it work this time! And am praying that as we start this journey it will be a journey to healthier people, not only physically, but in every way!
